Signed by the Artist
A monograph of Annette LeMay Burke's cell tower images, Fauxliage: Disguised Cell Phone Towers of the American West, is now available. The book documents the proliferation and variety of forms of disguised cell phone towers throughout the west. The color images are beautifully rendered and present the modern world with a healthy dose of irony. The forward is written by Ann M. Jastrab, the current Executive Director at the Center for Photographic Art (CPA) in Carmel, California. An essay by Burke discusses how technology is modifying our environment, manufactured nature, surveillance and ersatz landscapes. Special edition prints are also available.
